The mission of the Ljungstrom Foundation is to preserve, enhance and exhibit an assortment of albumen prints dating mostly from the late 19th century. The collection is from the estate of the late Sigvard Ljungstrom of Stockholm, Sweden. An interesting assemblage of Turkish pictures,unique Indian photos and European mementos provides the core of the collection along with colorful Japanese images and many cartes des visites. The curator of this present exhibition is Art Director Bo Ljungstrom of Savannah GA, USA, who has other similar projects underway to provide different viewpoints.
